Hsiao Scholarship
Provided by the China Center, University of Minnesota
Purpose
By establishing this endowed fund, donors Jennie and Fred Hsiao, wish to provide an opportunity for University of Minnesota students to incorporate an educational experience in China as part of their academic studies (including approved internships or professional training). The scholarship shall be used for the payment, partially or totally, of travel, tuition, or personal expenses.
Eligibility
- Applicant must be a full-time student enrolled in a degree-seeking program at the University of Minnesota
- Applicant must be in good academic standing, with at least a 3.0 GPA, with potential in their field
- Applicant must be a U.S. citizen
Application will be reviewed by a committee; scholarship recipients will be notified of scholarship awards by mail approximately three weeks after the application deadline.
Application Deadlines
December 10, 2007 for spring semester 2008
March 31, 2008 for May session & summer session 2008
July 28, 2008 for fall semester and winter break 2008, and
academic year 2008-09
