Translation Service

Note: The China Center is not currently accepting documents requiring certified translation. If you have something to be translated that does not require certification, please contact the China Center at (612) 624-1002.

The China Center has certified translators to provide translation of official documents such as diplomas, academic degrees, birth and marriage certificates, business cards, and other documents.

Fees:

  • One-page certificates (Chinese to English) including:
    Diplomas, Degree Certificates, Birth Certificates, Marriage Certificates

    University of Minnesota students and scholars: $20 each
    Non-University students and scholars: $25 each

    There is a $5 charge for every additional copy of the same translation with our stamp and signed by the translator.

  • Business Cards (English to Chinese):

    University of Minnesota clients: $40 each*
    Non-University clients: $50 each*
    (*does not include the cost of printing the cards)

  • Translation for other documents will be priced at a rate of $50 per hour, with a minimum charge of $50.

China Center Cultural Services

In a unique place, between education, government and business, the China Center is able to consult and advise both University and non-University organizations in developing and executing their China strategies, making connections here and in China that will help an organization succeed.

The China Center collaborates with a number of firms to offer public seminars, but is also available for private consultations.

The China Center can:

  • Help to introduce an organization to interested Chinese organizations or institutions
  • Provide suggestions for local, national, and international resources
  • Offer cultural and travel briefings or specific cross-cultural communication advice
  • Provide assistance with translation and other language issues
  • Provide customized assistance given a specific set of goals
